C blues scale

The C blues scale has six notes: C – E♭ – F – G♭ – G – B♭. It is the minor pentatonic plus one extra note, the blue note (the diminished fifth), which gives it the blues sound.

On the guitar neck

Every note of the scale up to the 15th fret. The coloured ones are the root.
