Paste the chords of a song, with or without the lyrics, choose the key you want and get the whole sheet transposed. Add a capo to see which shapes to play, or let the tool suggest the easiest fret.
Transposing moves every chord the same number of half steps, so the song keeps its shape and only the pitch changes. The tool reads chords above the lyrics or in brackets, keeps slash chords and extensions (D/F♯, Cmaj7, Asus4), and spells the new chords in the new key.

Count the half steps between the old key and the new one and move every chord by that amount: from G to A is two half steps up, so G becomes A, C becomes D and Em becomes F♯m. The transposer does it for the whole sheet at once, including slash chords.
Sing the highest and lowest notes of the melody. If the chorus strains, go down one or two half steps; if it sits too low, go up. The “what key should I sing in” tool suggests a key from your vocal range.
A capo raises every open shape: with the capo on the 2nd fret, a G shape sounds as A. To play a song in A with G shapes, put the capo on the 2nd fret and play the chords the transposer shows for that fret.
Yes. Paste the chord sheet with chords on the line above the lyrics, or in brackets inside the lyric ([G]Hello), and the lyrics stay in place while the chords change.
It reads letters (C, F♯m), German names with H for B, and solfège (Do, Rem, Sol7), and it can write the result in any of the three.
